Community Music School is a non-profit community organization providing quality music programs for students and audiences of all ages. With a professional teaching faculty, a 200 seat performance hall, and 18 teaching studios, we offer music lessons, classes, and ensembles for all instruments and all ages; Milestones in Music for children ages newborn to 7 years of age; and the A Little Night Music Concert Series for the community. Our mission is to enrich lives and communities by offering excellent, affordable music instruction to all people and to provide performance opportunities that contribute to the cultural life of the communities that we serve.

Meet Abigale Hobbs! 🎶 She's a mezzo soprano and joined our wonderful voice department at CMS!

🎼 Abigale holds a Bachelor of Music in both music education and voice performance from Texas Tech University. She also holds a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Temple University, where she's currently pursuing her graduate degree!

✨ Abigale is a talented and experienced opera, oratorio, and musical theatre performer! A few of her opera and musical theatre credits include Carmen in Carmen, Edith in Pirates of Penzance, and Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof with the Seagle Festival.

🎵 At the Temple University Opera Theatre, Abigale was Madame de la Haltière in Massenet’s Cendrillon. She also performed in the Charlottesville Opera, Texas Tech University, the Lubbock Chorale, and the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra. She currently serves as a soloist and section leader at The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill right here in the Philadelphia area!

We're very excited to have her on our team and teaching lessons! You can see her performing at the Bach's Lunch on October 15th! 🎶
