🌟 We rolled out the red carpet for our Redhawks! 🌟

Yesterday, we officially welcomed our students back for another great year at North Tama! ❤️🤍 It was so exciting to see our hallways filled with students, families, and staff as we kicked off the school year in style.

We even had a special surprise guest for our student announcements—Sheriff Casey Schmidt! Thank you, Sheriff Schmidt, for helping us start the year with a memorable surprise and for supporting our students and school community.

As we begin this new school year, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our families and community for trusting North Tama Schools to keep your students safe, supported, and learning each day. That trust is something we do not take lightly, and we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in educating and preparing our students for the future.

Please help us welcome Harvey the Hawk back to North Tama! Harvey attended the Traer Public School in the 1950s, having flown south to warmer weather for the past 70 years or so. Today, Harvey returned to his Hawk's Nest during the Flag Ceremony. He greeted students, danced with students and staff, and helped bring the Redhawk Spirit to a new school year!

Today, we continued our tradition of having a Flag Ceremony on the first day of school. Members of the Kubik-Finch post 142 presented the flags, fourth-grade students led the Pledge of Allegiance, student body president, Isa Allen, welcomed students to a new school year, the band played, and our superintendent, Mr. Cain, encouraged the students and staff to show their school spirit!

Check your alarm clocks! Here are the times for the 26-27 North Tama School Year!

Doors will open for breakfast at 7:45 in the morning. Classes officially start at 8:10am.

Elementary students are dismissed at 3:30pm while secondary students are dismissed at 3:35pm.

We cannot wait to see everyone back in the building!

The first day of school is almost here - August 26th!
Back to School Night is tomorrow, August 25th, from 5:30-6:30pm. All PreK-12th grade students & families are welcome to attend. Here are the opportunities for students that night.

Elementary Families:
Meet your teacher(s)
Find your cubby, locker, or desk
Bring your school supplies

Secondary Families:
Find your locker & bring supplies
Pick up schedules & Chromebooks
If 7th-12th grade students cannot attend, they will receive schedules and Chromebooks on the first day of school.

Orientations for 7th & 9th Grade Families:
9th Grade: 5:30pm in the gym
7th Grade: 6pm in the gym
