California has among the highest training requirements in the country. In fact, many companies go well beyond the minimum training standards set by the state. SB 1203 would hand training over to an untested entity with no security expertise and no infrastructure to train 360,000 guards, just weeks before California hosts the LA 2028 Olympics. This is reckless, and a public safety risk the state can't afford to take.

SB 1203's $2 billion price tag will hit public agencies and businesses. When costs rise, organizations reduce staffing and replace security guards with unlicensed staff or AI and surveillance systems. SB 1203 doesn't raise the floor, it incentivizes going around it.

Contact your Assemblymember today and tell them to vote NO on SB 1203.
