In class it was brought to my attention that the book available in the bookstore is an updated 10th Anniversary Edition. I said that I would update the Course Calendar with readings associated with the new edition. You may still use the older version of the text if you have already purchased it. For this course we will using Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen's A Patriot's History of the United States. This book has gotten a lot of press from the left and the right. The book opens with an interview between Schweikart and conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh. After reading the interview (either in your book, or in the link provided below) take some time to react. What do you think about Schweikart's views?
