It is with a heavy heart, I share this post from James Stroup, regarding the passing of our fellow ’87 Bulldog, Eric Stroup💚💛 💚💛

Eric Daniel Stroup
June 25, 1969 – October 19, 2022
Eric Daniel Stroup, age 53, passed away peacefully after a day filled with family and love on October 19, 2022.
After a recent battle against cancer, he left this world to be reunited with his savior, Jesus Christ. Eric was born on June 25, 1969, to the late James L. Stroup and Arma L. Stroup. He was raised in Tracy, Ca, where he attended St. Bernard’s Catholic School and graduated from Tracy High School in 1987. He worked as welder at San-I-Pak in Tracy for over 25 years and resided in the Modesto area for most of his adult life.
Eric enjoyed life through simple pleasures such as fishing, trips to Pinecrest, watching his San Francisco Giants and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving father, loyal brother, hard worker and for his big heart and peaceful presence. Eric was preceded in his death by both his parents. He is survived by his three children: Brian Stroup, Alyssa Stroup and Shelby Stroup and his two granddaughters: Kamila Dae Stroup and Alice Lee Baptista. He is also survived by his seven
siblings: James Stroup, Greg Stroup, Mark Stroup, Chris Stroup, Julie Van Os, Nicole Rocha and Nate Stroup.
A Catholic mass and funeral will be held on Wednesday November 09, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Tracy. A gravesite ceremony will immediately follow at Tracy Cemetery, 501 E Schulte Rd.
