Update: Congratulations to Hayley Mitchell and Connie Simmons! You each win a pair of tickets to the foodie tour. We will message you directly with more details.

We're giving away two pairs of tickets to our DC Foodie Walking Tour in Washington, D.C. this Saturday! Like the post and tag a Tiger who loves great food, and you'll automatically be entered into the drawing. We'll choose two winners on Thursday.

This special event, hosted by the DC Metro Alumni Alliance and Mangia DC, will take guests on a walking food and cultural tour of Washington's little-known local eateries. Stroll to different restaurants while learning about the neighborhood's food commerce history.

If you want to guarantee your spot, use the link in comments to purchase tickets at 50% off the normal rate.

A new season means another opportunity to give back with Tigers. Thanks to all the alumni, families and friends who joined us for our fall volunteer event, picking corn and peppers to be shared with families in need. We picked enough corn for 7,200 meals. Way to go, Tigers!

The TU College of Business & Economics is looking for talented alumni to serve as mentors in two rewarding programs.

MentHER:
A “lift as you rise” model that connects professional women with sophomore students, who then mentor local high school students. The program emphasizes financial literacy, career exploration and leadership development.

Mentoring to Advance Professional Development (MAPD):
A program for juniors and seniors that pairs students 1:1 with professionals to support career readiness, including resume development, networking, interviewing and navigating the transition into the workforce.

Both programs run from September through May and depend on professionals who are willing to share their time, experience and guidance with TU students.

The areas of expertise most needed include:
Accounting
Business Analytics / Data Analytics / Business Analysis
Economics-Public Policy
Entrepreneurship
Marketing
Project Management
Leadership & Management

If you are interested in volunteering for either program, please email program director Lauren Tigue Meredith at [email protected].
