um approach to learning make classes at the ADTC a truly unique and professionally rewarding experience. courses offered by the Animal Dental Training Center are for all ability levels and include special "technician weekends", exclusively feline programs, and continuing education courses in dental radiology, oral pathology, oral surgery, restorations, and endodontics for general practitioners and those veterinarians with a special interest in dentistry. Experience the difference that only highly individualized teaching, practical application, and expert critique can make in your learning and professional growth. Some benefits of the continuing education programs at the ADTC include:
• 1. A State-of-the-Art teaching facility including video monitors for procedure playback, multiple digital radiography stations, and 22 individual student workstations. high / low speed operatories each equipped with a complete set of instrumentation for the courses taught. These stations, or operatories, are each equipped with high-and-low speed drills, air/water syringes, and quick disconnects for ultrasonic scalers. The layout was designed to ensure the proper instrumentation and equipment is always close at hand while simulating real clinical working conditions. This also ensures there is no sharing of instruments, searching for the right materials, or waiting to use the equipment.
• 2. Students work at their own pace at individual workstations. Thanks to the low teacher-to-student ratio, participants receive highly personalized attention addressing their specific needs and questions.
• 3. All faculty members of the ADTC are Diplomates of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) and are selected not only for their technical merits, but their dedication to teaching and enthusiastically imparting knowledge to students.
• 4. Participants earn Continuing Education credits from the State of Maryland, and for some courses, R.A.C.E. All materials and necessary equipment are provided in addition to full course handouts. Each course also includes daily on-site breakfast, lunch, and refreshment breaks in our comfortable lounge. Here, attendees can share ideas, network with others, and relax.
• 5. The ADTC provides an “open forum” for discussion amongst both national and international participants about topics ranging from animal dentistry to practice management and marketing strategies. The information gained is both practical and can be easily implemented. The relaxed atmosphere is conducive to learning or simply renewing one’s passion for veterinary medicine. Small groups and longer laboratory time provide the attendees with total immersion within the new disciplines and the chance to put techniques into practice. Couple this with a relaxed and informal environment and you have all the ingredients for a successful educational and professional experience.
