Congratulations to the Class of 2030 on their promotion from our Middle School! This important milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter as they continue their journey into the Upper School. Formed by the Jesuit values of faith, scholarship, service, and leadership, these young men have grown tremendously over the years. We pray that God continues to guide them as they strive to learn deeply, lead generously, and live as men for and with others.

A meaningful stop along the Ignatian Camino Pilgrimage in Spain, participants and leaders of the AMDG Program visited the Chapel of Conversion at Castle Loyola—the place where St. Ignatius began his journey from personal struggle to spiritual transformation. Standing in the room where Ignatius ultimately surrendered himself to God, our students and adult leaders joined peers from other Jesuit schools in reflecting on faith, purpose, and God's call in their own lives.

On Tuesday, June 2nd, Fr. Baker celebrated Mass for members of the Fathers' Club. Following the Mass, a plaque honoring the life and service of Rev. Aloysius P. McGonigal, S.J. was blessed and dedicated. The plaque commemorates not only his faithful service to the Society of Jesus, but also his sacrifice in service to God and his country. We were also fortunate to have Nick Neaman on hand (2026 recipient of the Rev. Aloysius P. McGonigal, S.J. Award.) We extend our sincere thanks to all who supported and contributed to this special project. Learn more about Fr. McGonigal in the summer issue of Blakefield Magazine (coming in July).

Yesterday our faculty and staff gathered for our annual end-of-year celebration, taking time to recognize service milestones, honor colleagues embarking on new chapters, and celebrate another successful year at Loyola.

A highlight of the morning was the presentation of the Marcus S. Ryu '91 Employee Recognition Award, Loyola's highest honor for faculty and staff, recognizing employees whose dedication and contributions have a profound impact on the student experience and the life of the school. Congratulations to this year’s recipients: Ms. Jackie Andrews, Mr. Ryan Medina, and Ms. Whitney Myers.
