What a close out to the year! Well done to our teams for competing at the final tournament of the year: thee CEDA nationals.
Congratulations to our novice teams for competing in the open division for this tournament with two of them, Radwa/Jaden & Mia/Monica, ending with 3-5 records. Congrats to MR, Mia & Monica, for clearing into the novice breakout division. They won their quarterfinals round on a 3-0 and then dropped in semifinals to our friends from GMU. Also, shoutout to Ethan for helping out with novice teams & extensions. (Np) MV for still grinding despite being online to close out their career.
Big congrats to Towson DP, Nina & Arya, for an impressive 7-1 prelim record. They cleared into eliminations as the third seed overall with a bye into the double octafinals round. They finished as double octafinalists along with Arya being the 17th speaker!
Thanks to Joe/Bing squad, Kathryn/Sam + tab, Phil, and everyone who helped with the people’s tournament! Also, to the Jayhawks for winning the tournament.

Congratulations to Towson DP, Nina & Arya, for going 4-4 at Nina’s first NDT & Arya’s second. Both still in their first full year of policy debate.

Congratulations to Towson DP, Nina & Arya, who received a SRALB to the NDT. Tigers return to the NDT for our fourth consecutive year! Fun fact: these ladies started as college novices just a year ago in spring ‘25. 🔥🐯

Beautiful weekend in West Virginia for novice nationals! We had five teams compete at the tournament, with this being the first tournament for a few! Big woohoo for our novices for persisting through last minute partner changes, drops, sickness, and first tournament scaries!

Back in action! Tigers pick back up in our first spring semester tournament at the Gotham tournament hosted by New School. This weekend we had 4 teams competing, with this being four of our students first tournament ever! Congrats to our open team, Nina & Arya, for making it to the quarterfinals of the tournament.

The Tigers traveled down to deacs-land this weekend to close out our semester at the Shirley.
We had 3 novice teams and 1 varsity team compete. Our varsity team, DP, went 3-4 winning all their rounds the second day!
In the novice division, what’s better than having one novice team clear? ALL THREE teams clearing. MV & AK went 4-2 and LL went 3-3. Andrea was 6th speaker in the novice division! AK & LL finished as doubleoctafinalist and MV finished as octafinalist!
Shoutout to Jarod, Justin, Gary, and the wake team for hosting the biggest college debate tournament ever! See you all next semester— As always, go tigers!

This weekend we took three of our novice teams up to Rochester to debate at the UoR tournament. Great job to all of our teams! Shoutout to MV, Andrea & Lauren, for going 3-2 & clearing to octas.

Congratulations to Towson DP, Nina & Arya, who competed at the UoH classic this weekend! They finished with a 5-1 prelim record in JV and were the TOP seed. They finished as semi-finalists after dropping on a 2-1 decision to our friends from Long Beach! Nina was 6th place speaker and Arya was TOP speaker!
Thanks to Rob & the UoH team for hosting a great tournament. Congrats to Long Beach/Southwestern for locking out the tournament!

The Tigers were on the road this weekend to compete at the Bing debate tournament in NY. Congratulations to all our teams, many who are novices, who competed in their first debate tournament!
Congrats to Towson MV, Andrea & Lauren, who went 3-2 in the novice division and cleared into elimination rounds making all the way to quarterfinals (top 8). Lauren was also 9th speaker!
Congrats to Towson DC, Nina & Felix, who went 4-2 in the varsity division clearing into elimination rounds making it to the quarterfinals as well! Nina was 6th speaker!

To conclude our amazing 2025 season, our graduating seniors engaged in a public debate versus the DCJ over abolishing mandatory minimums. This was an amazing opportunity and well organized at the courthouse in Washington, DC. Shoutout to Judge Faruqui, Tori, Jackson E., all the judges and their whole team for being amazing! Special shoutout to our opponents who were AMAZING scholars.
To our TU-Debate seniors: thank you for all your hard work and willingness to participate. You all continually grow and represent TU well. We’re extremely proud of your time at TU and hope that you take your passion from debate to the real world. You all are amazing & we can’t wait to see what’s next. As always, GO TIGERS!

Amazing night of gathering with loved ones to celebrate our phenomenal students last night at our first annual TU debate banquet in years!
