💻 Parents & Guardians: Please Complete the Student Device Agreement!

All LRTA students will be assigned a BCPS Chromebook for the 2026–2027 school year. Chromebooks are essential for daily learning, class assignments, digital resources, and state/county assessments. 📚💜

✅ A completed Student Device Agreement is required before a Chromebook can be issued to your child.

🏫 Remember: Chromebooks will remain at school this year. Students will pick up their device during ASA each morning and return it to their ASA teacher at the end of the school day.

Each year, our Multilingual Learners participate in the WIDA ACCESS assessment to show how much their English language skills have grown in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. 🌎🗣️📖✏️

The flyer below has everything families need to know about the testing experience—including what testing looks like, WIDA scores and proficiency levels, pacing, make-up testing, and ways you can help your child feel prepared and confident.

A few simple ways to help at home:
😴 Encourage a good night's sleep
🥞 Start the day with a healthy breakfast
💜 Remind your child to simply do their best and show what they know!

WIDA is an opportunity for our students to demonstrate their growth and for our teachers and families to celebrate their progress along the way. 🌟

The first day of middle school is a BIG deal—and we want our newest Ravens to feel confident, comfortable, and ready to soar! 🐦‍⬛✨

Join us for 6th Grade Early Entry Day at Loch Raven Technical Academy!

⏰ 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
🚌 BCPS will provide transportation for bus riders

During Early Entry Day, students will have the opportunity to:
🏫 Meet their A-Day & B-Day teachers
🔐 Practice opening their locker
🗺️ Tour LRTA and find all of their classrooms
🤝 Meet classmates and start making new friends

This special day is just for our incoming 6th graders to get familiar with LRTA before the school year gets underway. We can't wait to welcome the newest members of the Raven Family! 💜🖤
