This Immigrant Heritage Month, we honor the generations of immigrant workers whose courage, sacrifice, and determination helped build both our nation and the labor movement.

From laying the foundations of our industries to keeping our communities running today, immigrant workers have always been essential to our collective strength.

At TABCO, we celebrate the diverse stories, cultures, and contributions that make our union stronger. We remain committed to fighting for fair wages, safe workplaces, dignity, and respect for every worker, regardless of where they come from.

Where do your roots trace back to? Drop a flag in the comments and tell us where you’re from! πŸ‡―πŸ‡²πŸ‡²πŸ‡½πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

Help us celebrate the diversity that makes our communities strong. 🌎

Tonight, on BCPS BOE, it's the "Say less, but do more" Edition. We've got another motion on the budget to get through, we've got a presentation on the Enterprise Resource Planning system, as well as the recommended action for the Puzzle Pieces public charter school. We've got some board policies up for debate on community involvement, and I'll try to make it to the end of the meeting without taking a nap. All this, plus your comments, tonight at 6:30

This past Friday, TABCO and ESPBC members hit the doors with Izzy Patoka, talking with fellow union members about what's at stake in the June 23 Primary.

From neighborhood to neighborhood, we worked to make sure members have a plan to vote and know the importance of supporting Izzy Patoka and the rest of our Apple Ballot candidates.

Worker power doesn't stop at the jobsite; it extends to the ballot box.

Every conversation matters and every vote counts.

Happy Pride Month from TABCO! πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

This month, we're celebrating the trailblazers who helped shape movements for justice, equality, and human dignity.

Born in Baltimore, Pauli Murray was an attorney, civil rights activist, poet, and priest whose work helped lay the legal foundation for both the civil rights and women's rights movements. Murray's groundbreaking legal scholarship influenced future Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's arguments for gender equality and challenged systems of discrimination long before many were willing to do so.

Though the language didn't exist at the time, Murray's writings reveal a lifelong exploration of gender identity that resonates with many in today's LGBTQ+ community. Their legacy reminds us that progress is built by courageous people willing to imagine a more just world.

This Pride Month, we honor Pauli Murray and the countless LGBTQ+ advocates whose leadership continues to move us forward. β€οΈπŸ§‘πŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ’™πŸ’œ

Devon Chapman didn't start out planning to be a leader. He started out remembering a teacher who took the time to know him and decided that kind of care was worth fighting for.

Today, Devon is a paraeducator in Baltimore County and a board member with ESPBC, the union representing education support professionals in our schools. He got involved because he believes in what organizing can do: fight for wages, protect healthcare, and make sure members know their rights and their worth.

Devon's story is a Baltimore County story.
