It’s tomato season! Tomatoes are fun for practicing form because it’s okay if they aren’t perfect.

The red can be difficult. Try mixing alizarin crimson and quinacridone burnt orange.

Tuesday Morning Watercolor live at 10 am.

We are loosing up this week. A quick and loose project. Quality colors with easily moving pigments are needed for this kind of play. I primarily used Quinacridone Burnt Orange and Payne’s Gray.

Playing with textures around the yard. I’ll mess with the color nuances a bit more before we go live so we can discuss.

With the end of the school year and my changing schedule, I will no longer be doing the Wednesday Wheel Work live videos.

I will be continuing the Monday Morning Clay live videos for the Clay To Go kits while there is still interest. The Tuesday Morning Watercolor live videos will continue until we are meeting again in person.

I’m making preparations to reopen the studio. We will start on a limited basis. Private lessons or private events, maybe Studio time by appointment.

There are so many aspects to consider in reopening. Operation, scheduling, supply chain... as well as the limited information available in relation to the virus and clay.

I’m discussing new procedures with and watching others in the clay community.

I appreciate your patience. I’ll be posting additional details about what this will look like later this week.

Please contact me if you’re interested in scheduling an event or coming for private lessons. We can discuss options.

Tuesday Morning Watercolor live at 10 am

It was fun playing with the pigments within each petal.

The first reference photo is from Elli Perry Leveto. I actually painted from the live one I picked from the yard. That’s the last photo.
