A "Hello Goodbye" window in early childhood education helps children transition smoothly between home and school, build emotional security, and develop independence by providing a clear, visible boundary and a comforting ritual for saying hello and goodbye to their families.

Dear Parents, It’s Okay. ❤️
If your five-year-old writes their name backwards or reverses letters—it’s okay!
At this age, children are still learning letter formation, directionality, and how print works. Reversals can simply be part of that developmental process.
Instead of striving for perfection, give them opportunities to write, draw, create, and practice naturally through play.
This isn’t a mistake—it’s learning in progress. 🌿
Give them time. Model it. Encourage them. And celebrate that wonderful, “Look! I wrote my name!” ❤️

Why might my classroom look a little disheveled sometimes? Maybe even a little messy?
Because the children come first. 🤎
Yes, we clean. We tidy. We take care of our space together. But I also believe in giving my little learners the space and freedom to simply be kids.
They are only little once, and I only get a few short years with them.
So sometimes the tidying can wait while I snuggle a little one who needs me. Sometimes I sit down and read the extra book. Sometimes we talk about life outside of our classroom, laugh about something silly, or simply enjoy being together.
Because building relationships with these little humans is what makes my program what it is.
Before one of my summer students came to spend the summer with us, I asked her mom what she wanted to do while she was here. Her mom told me her answer was simple:
“All I want to do is just spend time with Ms. Stacy.” 🥹
And that right there means more to me than a perfectly tidy classroom ever could.
Someday, they probably won't remember whether every toy was put away or every shelf was perfectly organized.
But I hope they remember that they were loved.
That I had time for them.
That they belonged here.
And that, for a little while, this was a place where they were free to simply be children. 🌿🤎
