A great day and core memory for our kiddos!

Old State families,

Our 2026 Old State Fun Run fundraiser has officially wrapped up and we want to take a moment to express our gratitude for the incredible generosity and support of our school community.

Together, we have raised an amazing $47,553, making this our second-highest fundraising total in school history! This is a remarkable accomplishment and a reflection of the generosity and commitment of our Old State families.

Most importantly, because of your contributions, we will be able to provide memorable experiences and exciting opportunities for our students, families, and staff throughout the school year. Every dollar raised stays right here at Old State, directly benefiting our school community and, most importantly, our kids! THANK YOU!

As of this evening, Old State families and students have raised an incredible $44,662 in just over a week! We are blown away by the support and generosity of our school community.

And what a way to wrap up an amazing week with Friday’s Fun Run! It was so awesome to see so many families come out to cheer on our Otters as they made their way around the track. The shirts, posters, signs, and enthusiasm made the day so much fun. What a great community we have at Old State!

Our students have officially unlocked:
🍧 Kona Ice coming to Old State
🎡 The Admin Team spinning the Wheel of Fun AGAIN
✨ And if we reach $45,000, PTO has agreed to sponsor a GLOW PARTY for the entire school!

We are SO close to $45,000!

But remember, our biggest goal this year isn’t just how much we raise — it’s PARTICIPATION. We want every student to have the opportunity to be part of the fun and help us reach our goals together.

Have you signed up yet? If not, there’s still time! Let’s see what our Otters can do!

Day 3 of Fun Run Week did not disappoint! Today our students showed up dressed like their teachers, and let’s just say…some of them nailed the look a little too well.

And then things got even more exciting…

As of 7:20 tonight, we are officially at $25,090! 🎉 That means our students hit the $25K goal and unlocked tomorrow morning’s Wheel of Fun for the three administrators!

So…what will we land on?

Extra recess?
Staff mystery karaoke?
Will Mr. Earley have to wear an Eagles jersey?! 👀

We’ll find out tomorrow morning!

We’re not slowing down yet. Our ultimate goal is $40,000, and tomorrow is COLOR WARS!

Students should wear their grade level’s assigned color and come ready to bring the energy.

Let’s keep it going, Otters! 🦦💚

Day 2 of Fun Run Week was a good one!

We had so much fun seeing everyone dressed up for Twin Day, and our PTO parents were at lunch helping us get the kids excited about Fun Run and all the fun prizes we have coming their way!

We’re currently at $17,154 toward our $40,000 goal, but here’s the part we really want to change — only 19% of our students are participating so far!

Parents, take a minute to check your email for your child’s Fun Run link and share it with family and friends. Even a few shares can make a big difference!

And don’t forget — we have lots of individual and grade-level prizes up for grabs! 🎉

Let’s keep the momentum going and see how many more Otters we can get involved tomorrow! 🦦💚

🏃‍♀️ FUN RUN WEEK IS OFFICIALLY UNDERWAY! 🏃‍♂️

We are off to an incredible start at Old State Elementary! As of 5:30 PM today, our students and families have already raised $11,274! 🎉

We kicked off the week with Mismatch Day, and our students and staff definitely understood the assignment. Tomorrow, we’re keeping the fun going with TWIN DAY! Grab a buddy and dress alike!

Tomorrow morning, we’ll announce some winners for top participating classrooms at each grade level so make sure you take the opportunity tonight to click on your child’s unique link and get signed up.

Our PTO will also be visiting lunches tomorrow to share all of the exciting prizes students can earn through their participation and donations.

Thank you to our students, families, and staff for bringing the energy and making this week so much fun already. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings!

Let’s keep it going, Old State! 🦦🏃‍♀️

**First & Second Grade Open House — This Thursday!**

We’re looking forward to welcoming our first and second grade families to Open House this Thursday, September 24, at 6:30 PM!

This evening is designed to give families a deeper glimpse into your child’s classroom, learning, and day at Old State. Think of it as a chance to dig in a little deeper than Meet the Teacher Night and get a better sense of what your child’s school experience looks like each day.

A quick note: Due to limited seating in our classrooms, this is an adult-only event Thank you for helping us make the evening work for everyone!

Want to come a little early? Join us for our first PTO Meeting of the year!

We’ll meet at 6:00 PM in the Art Room on the first floor for a quick 30-minute information session. Our Old State administrators and current PTO Board will introduce the team, share our goals for the year, and talk about ways families can get involved.

Whether you’re a longtime PTO volunteer or a brand-new Old State family with ideas, energy, or a little time to give, we’d love to have you there! Our hope is to build a strong community of families who want to help make this a memorable year for our kids.

We can’t wait to see you Thursday!
