Today, our Hub students traded the classroom for the mini golf course and had a blast putting their way through a fun-filled day! 💚

Did you know mini golf is more than just fun? It helps our little learners strengthen:

✨ Hand-eye coordination as they aim and swing
✨ Fine & gross motor skills through gripping, positioning, and movement
✨ Focus & concentration as they line up each shot
✨ Early math skills while counting strokes and keeping score
✨ Problem-solving skills as they navigate obstacles
✨ Patience & turn-taking while cheering on their friends
✨ Confidence as they try something new and celebrate each successful putt!

🎉💗 HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY TO OUR LEARNING HUB AMBASSADOR, SHAYLA! 💗🎉

Can you believe our girl is FIVE years old?! 🥹🎂 We have had the privilege of watching Shayla grow since she was just two years old, and this birthday is definitely a bittersweet one for us.

Our once shy and timid little Huber has blossomed into a confident, independent, and caring little girl who is more than ready for her next big adventure. 🌸🦋

Of all the wonderful things we love about Shayla, our absolute favorite is her empathy and kindness. She genuinely cares about everyone around her, and her sweet spirit has brought so much joy to The Learning Hub over the years. 💕

And of course, we can't forget our Dora-loving, fruit-loving girl! 🍓🍉🍊💜

As we prepare for her official send-off to Kindergarten, we wanted to celebrate someone who has been such a special part of The Learning Hub's story. In honor of our longtime Huber and ambassador, Shayla is being featured on our website! 🥹🎓✨ A little piece of our girl will always be part of The Hub.

We are so proud to celebrate our students as they received their Summer Literacy Certificates! 🎓📖

At The Learning Hub Academy, our students participate in our reading program every week, because even though summer brings plenty of sunshine, field trips, water play, and FUN, we made sure we didn’t leave literacy behind! ☀️📚

Our Hubers spent the summer reading, practicing important literacy skills, and continuing to grow academically. Their hard work deserved to be celebrated BIG! 🎉

Along with their certificates, students received baseball tickets ⚾ and Texas Roadhouse certificates 🥩 as special rewards for a summer of reading and learning!

Because at the Hub, summer fun and summer learning can happen together! 💙📚✨

🦎 Welcome to the Hub of Dragons... Bearded Dragons, that is! 🐉

Today our Hubers had an exciting hands-on learning experience as they explored the fascinating world of reptiles during our literacy lesson! Students observed a real bearded dragon while learning fun facts, asking questions, and making real-world connections to what they are reading.

📚 Did you know?
🦎 Bearded dragons communicate by changing the color of their “beard” and puffing it out when they feel excited, threatened, or want to show dominance.

🦎 Bearded dragons are cold-blooded reptiles, which means they rely on the warmth of the sun (or a heat lamp) to regulate their body temperature.

📚🐰 Bunnies & Books! 🐰📚

At The Learning Hub Academy, every experience begins and ends with literacy because we believe reading is the foundation for lifelong learning.

Today our Hubers enjoyed a special Bunnies & Books experience where they listened to stories, explored rabbit-themed books, and had the opportunity to meet, pet, and interact with real bunnies! Through hands-on learning, students built vocabulary, practiced asking and answering questions, made predictions, and connected what they read to the world around them.

Research shows that children learn best when they can connect books to real-life experiences. By seeing, touching, and observing the animals they read about, our students strengthen reading comprehension while developing curiosity, confidence, empathy, and a love for learning.

There's nothing quite like watching a story come to life! 💚📖🐇

Day 2 of Home Economics: Cooking Chemistry is here! Can you guess what our students are cooking today?

If you guessed pizza, you guessed right! 🍕👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Today, our young chefs will practice measuring ingredients, spreading sauce, sprinkling cheese, while learning that cooking is both fun and educational. As they create their own pizzas, they’re also building fine motor skills, following directions, exploring math concepts through measurement, and discovering how ingredients work together to create something delicious.

There’s nothing better than learning through hands-on experiences, and enjoying a tasty creation at the end! We can’t wait to see our Hubers proudly show off their homemade pizzas. ❤️🍕

Home Economics: Cooking Chemistry Week at the Hub!

This week, students will become junior chefs as they explore the exciting connection between cooking and science! Through hands-on experiences, children will learn that measuring, mixing, cutting, and baking all involve chemistry. Students will strengthen early math skills by counting, measuring, and following step-by-step directions while practicing teamwork, patience, and kitchen safety.

Featured Activity: Strawberry Shortcakes 🍓

Students will prepare their own strawberry shortcakes using kid-safe knives to safely slice fresh strawberries. This activity helps develop:

Gross and fine motor skills through cutting and food preparation

Hand-eye coordination and bilateral coordination
Independence and confidence in the kitchen

Early math skills through measuring and sequencing

Language development by learning cooking and science vocabulary

Healthy eating habits by exploring fresh fruits and nutritious ingredients

Social skills by working cooperatively, sharing materials, and taking turns

Scientific thinking by observing how ingredients change when they are mixed together

By the end of the week, our young chefs will have created a delicious treat while discovering that cooking is a fun way to learn science, math, and important life skills!

What a fun day at The Learning Hub! Today, our Hubers had an amazing time on their bowling trip! 💙

Did you know bowling is much more than just a fun activity? It helps children develop:
🎳 Hand-eye coordination
💪 Fine and gross motor skills
🧠 Focus, concentration, and problem-solving
🤝 Teamwork and sportsmanship
💙 Patience, confidence, and perseverance
➕ Early math skills through counting pins and keeping score

We love incorporating hands-on learning experiences that build important developmental skills while creating lasting memories. Judging by all the smiles, laughter, and cheers today, our Hubers had a ball! 🎉💙
