Hi Hub! 💛💙

It’s been a busy week of learning, discovery, and fun at The Learning Hub Academy! 📚🎨 From practicing new skills to learning alongside friends, our students continue to grow in so many wonderful ways! 🌱✨

This week, our students also met our new class pet, Waffles the fish!🐠 Our little learners are excited to welcome their new classroom friend!

Waffles will be part of our social-emotional learning as students take turns helping with feeding and care under teacher supervision. Together, we’ll practice responsibility, patience, teamwork, and kindness while learning what living things need to stay healthy. 🤝💕

Hi Hub ! 🐠💛 Please welcome Waffle, our new class pet fish!

Waffle will be part of our social-emotional curriculum, helping students practice kindness, empathy, responsibility, and teamwork. Through supervised classroom helper jobs, students will work together to help keep Waffle safe, healthy, and cared for.

We’ll also connect caring for Waffle to caring for ourselves and others—using gentle actions, respecting boundaries, and recognizing that all living things have needs. We’re excited for the learning and joy Waffle will bring to our classroom! 🐠✨

Thank you to Little Medical School New Castle County and Dr. Maria for coming out today and giving our students such an amazing hands-on learning experience! 🩺🐾💜💛
Our little veterinarians learned how to perform a head-to-tail exam to determine if an animal is healthy, ask permission before approaching an animal, understand animal body language, safely remove ticks, and listen to an animal’s heartbeat using their very own stethoscopes! 🐶🐱🩺
We love providing experiences that allow our students to explore S.T.E.A.M. through real-world careers while learning, discovering, and having fun! 🔬✨

We love her inquisitive personality, kind and friendly spirit, and wonderful curiosity. Shiloh is always ready to lend a helping hand, whether she’s greeting our Hub families, helping set up for a task, diving into a good book, or exploring something new. Her excitement for learning and discovering the world around her is such a special part of who she is. 🌟

Hi Hub!

This month, we are excited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at The Learning Hub Academy! 🇲🇽🌮 Our students will participate in a special Home Economics experience hosted by Doña Ines Cocina. Students will become little chefs as they make chicken tacos from scratch! They will learn how to prepare and knead their own taco dough, create their tortillas, prepare their ingredients, and build their very own tacos. This hands-on cultural experience combines cooking, independence, fine-motor skills, following directions, and learning about Hispanic culture and traditions. We can’t wait to see our little chefs in action! 👩🏽‍🍳👨🏽‍🍳🌮

Today we kick off our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎉 At The Learning Hub Academy, diversity, culture, and creating meaningful learning experiences are an important part of what we do. 🌎❤️
For Home Economics, our little chefs had a special hands-on cooking experience hosted by Doña Ines Cocina! 🌮👩🏽‍🍳 Students made chicken tacos from scratch, learning how to prepare ingredients, knead their own dough, make tortillas, and build their very own tacos! Hi, Hub family! 💙

We have a few slogans here at The Hub, but there’s one that best describes exactly what we do:

“We don’t babysit, we teach.”

A morning at The Hub is filled with intentional learning, from Spanish immersion, language arts, and early numeracy to math, fine-motor development, social-emotional learning, and so much more.

Every part of our day has a purpose.
Our goal is to prepare our students academically, socially, and emotionally so they can thrive not only within our doors, but long after they leave them.

We take those first five years very seriously. These are foundational years, and we believe our children deserve an environment that challenges them, supports them, and helps them grow into confident, capable learners.

The first five years matter. and we won’t waste a single one. 💙

That’s The Hub. We challenge, we inspire, we motivate, and more importantly we love what we do!
