Dolly Parton began her journey in the mountains of East Tennessee. Throughout her amazing musical career, Dolly was dedicated to helping fellow Appalachian people be proud of who they are and where they are from. JAM's mission is to do the same; through the unique cultural music and dance traditions of our mountains, children learn to take pride in their home communities, leading to lasting connections throughout their lives and the generations to come. Let's all be more like Dolly, and remember her lasting legacy not only in these mountains, but throughout the entire world.

🎶 Registration is open for Smoky Mountain JAM!

The music of these mountains has been passed down for generations. This fall, your 4th through 8th grader can be part of that tradition.

Smoky Mountain JAM meets Mondays 4-6 PM, September 14 through December 14 at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center. Instruments are available to borrow, and financial aid is available.

Interested? Join us for a student orientation meeting Monday, August 31 at 5 PM at the Heritage Center.
