Canadian-American Slavic Studies is pleased to announce the publication of papers from two recent conferences that might be of interest to readers.
(1) A double issue (60.1-2) of papers deriving from papers and conversations at the Early Slavic Studies Association Conference, Columbus Ohio, March 2025. AND
(2) Issue 60.4 is full of exciting work from CEH-C (Central European History Convention) held in July 2025 in Vienna

Call for ESSAYS! This is a reminder that Canadian-American Slavic Studies is looking for new work to mark the 10th anniversary of P***y Riot's Punk Prayer. Eliot Borenstein is our guest editor for this issue. We encourage interested writers to submit a short abstract to us by Sept. 30, with full essays to follow by Oct. 31. Canadian American Slavic Studies announces the imminent appearance of number 55.3-4 of the journal: “Round and Round with Both the Wolf and the Hound: 40 Years of Sasha Sokolov's Between Dog and Wolf. (In Honor of Donald Barton Johnson)”

The issue is edited by José Vergara of Bryn Mawr College and Martina Napolitano of Università degli Studi di Udine, and includes a remarkable and diverse international commentary on Sokolov's novel. It will also include an ORIGINAL PROEM BY SASHA SOKOLOV—a response to D. B. Johnson’s “The Galoshes Manifesto.”

More on our CFP! Canadian-American Slavic Studies is planning a special issue on P***y Riot to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the Punk Prayer.

We encourage submissions from scholars of any relevant discipline. Articles should ideally be between 7000 and 10,000 words. The deadline is Halloween (October 31) 2021, with the issue coming out in 2022
