Covenant Christian School is a ministry of Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA). Our vision as a school is to be educating the whole child to the glory of God in a grace-filled environment. More than 150 students ages 3 to Sixth Grade attend Covenant. Our families attend more than 30 different churches in the St. At Covenant we offer the following classes:
Little Pelicans (PK3) M/W/F 8:15 to 11:30

Pre-Kindergarten M/W/F 8:15 to 11:30

Junior Kindergarten M-F Noon to 3:05

Kindergarten M-F 8:15 to 11:30 or Noon to 3:05

First to Sixth Grade M-F 8:15 to 3:05

In our current novel, “The Twenty-One Balloons,” the 4th grade students were fascinated by the account of “two gentlemen in white suits and white bowlers tiptoeing through the jungle” on a remote island in the Pacific Ocean. To learn more about tropical rainforests and bring this part of the story to life, students wore their Sunday best as they explored the Climatron and visited the annual Orchid Show at the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Continuing their year-long study of birds, this week our second grade class was at the Audubon Center at Riverlands. There they viewed a variety of species including bald eagles.

Happy 100th day of school! Our Kindergarteners shared their creative projects using 100 items!

As a part of their unit focused on the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, sixth grade prepared Filipino food as the Philippines had a large exhibit following the Spanish-American War. Based on student response, the food was tasty!

We are delighted to share some exciting news about the newest addition to our school community—a school dog named Roo!

Roo is an Australian Cobberdog, a breed known for its gentle temperament and hypoallergenic qualities. The dog has gone through temperament testing and is undergoing the appropriate training. The Brester family will be the proud owners of Roo, who will join us at school each day, returning home with the Bresters in the evening. When fully mature, Roo will weigh about 20 pounds.

We anticipate welcoming him to the school gradually, with plans for our new furry friend to become a regular presence when he is ready.

We look forward to Roo’s positive impact on our students’ well-being, our staff, and the sense of community within our school.
