Hello! I'm Tilva™, Penn State Extension's AI assistant

Ask me your agricultural questions for instant, science-based responses you can rely on.

examples: To get started, try asking:

How often should I deworm my goats?
When is the next ServSafe class in Dauphin County?
How would I make my yard more watershed-friendly?
How do I control Spotted Lanternfly?

Take a picture of a bug, plant or tree TILVA can tell you what it is.

Built in collaboration with the College of Agricultural Sciences and the PlantVillage team, this conversational tool helps farmers, producers, homeowners, educators, and community leaders quickly find credible answers to agricultural and natural resource questions—anytime of day.

FARM SAFETY DAY

Have you ever wondered what farm biosecurity is about? How to handle pesticides, ticks or what the best way to assemble a First Aid Kit?
The Penn State Extension in Cooperation with Bradford Co. Farm Bureau gives you a unique opportunity to learn the basics of farm safety during the Farm Safety Day that will be hosted by the Sugar Branch Farms/Miller’s Corn Maze at 931 Sopertown Rd., Columbia Cross Roads, PA, on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The Penn State Extension Educators and Guthrie Hospital Emergency workers will have stations placed throughout the farm to present farm biosecurity, tractor, pesticide, chainsaw, and tick safety. Stop the bleed and strategies for managing farm-related stress will be included as well. You can also bring your Presto pressure canner for free pressure testing. This workshop is primarily for farm workers who are currently actively working on farms full-time or part-time.
This is a free event, rain or shine. Lunch will be provided. For registration go to: https://extension.psu.edu/farm-safety-day or call 877-345-0691.
