This is "Dr. Nick." I am a cardiac electrophysiologist (heart rhythm specialist) and an award-winning educator. I created ECG Academy as a resource for healthcare professionals and students to learn to read ECGs. ECG Academy is unique because it consists entirely of video tutorials. Most people have a hard time learning ECGs from a textbook. I found that the best way to learn was to sit with an expert who can show you what you need to know, so I created my videos as if we were having lunch together and I pulled out a pad and a bunch of colored markers. I start with the very basics of anatomy and physiology, and teach you WHY the ECG looks the way it does. This way you retain the information better and can apply those principles to analyzing tracings that don't look like the ones in the textbook. ECG Academy gives you the tools you need to become a vital part of any healthcare team. I try to make it fun to learn ECGs, and my videos will keep you learning and improving all the time.
