Full time lead Montessori teaching position for start in late August 2024.

Hours: 8am-4pm M-F

We are seeking a highly-motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic lead Montessori teacher to join us to educate children between the ages of 2-6 years old.

The person selected for this position must be professionally prepared as a childcare provider for young children, especially in the field of early childhood education/development/Montessori training and must be able to meet the requirements of the licensing agency. This person must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate well to both children and adults. This person must have the personality and ability to provide leadership and stability for our programs continuity.

General duties would include:

- Planning, supervising and implementing the program for child care in accordance with the policies, curriculum and philosophy of the school.
- Maintaining a safe, healthy and educational environment for the children.
- Helping students develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education.
- Conducting parent/teacher conferences and communicating with parents on a daily basis.
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child.
- Manage behavior effectively using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Attend meetings and conference of professional organizations appropriate for early childhood education/Montessori training.

Qualifications for this position :

- Previous experience of at least 3 years working with children, preferably in a preschool or early childhood education setting
Montessori certification and/or undergraduate degree in education or a related field is a PLUS
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- At least three years of experience as a teacher of young children in a licensed facility
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English
- CPR certified or willing to be certified
