🚑 An Afternoon at the Fire Station! 🚒

Our kindergarten, first, and second-grade students had a great field trip yesterday to our local fire station!
These students spent part of their afternoon learning crucial life skills, including essential fire safety tips and exactly how and when to contact 911 in an emergency.

Some highlights included:

🔴Meeting Local Heroes: Getting to talk with our wonderful firefighters and EMTs about their jobs.

🟠Exploring the Trucks: Walking through the cab of the fire engine!

🟡Checking Out the Gear: Seeing all the special tools and lifesaving equipment up close on both the ambulance and the fire engine.

We are so proud of how curious and engaged our students were. A massive THANK YOU to our amazing local fire station crew for welcoming us, keeping us safe, and inspiring the next generation of community heroes! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

Last Friday, we held our first **PRIDE Award Assembly** of the year! Our first focus was **PERSEVERANCE**, and we are excited to celebrate these amazing students who were recognized for demonstrating perseverance at school! 🌟

Through our schoolwide **PBIS program**, we intentionally teach and recognize our PRIDE expectations:

**P** – Perseverance

These students showed us what it means to **keep trying, work through challenges, and not give up—even when something is difficult.** 💪
