This August (2016) marks my Ten Year Anniversary as the Traveling Music Teacher. I can honestly say that I do in fact have the greatest job, for me. Those who know me on a personal level know that I'm obsessed with music. I've been lucky to be able to take a life long hobby and turn it into a life sustaining career.

This job has found success for me on multiple levels. I've found great satisfaction as a teacher, guide, inspiration, motivation, and perhaps even role model. Clearly music is an important part of the human experience and I'm lucky to be able to share it with so many people. Life is about people, and I've met so many Great people in my travels.

I can't conclude this without mentioning two very important people that have helped and supported me on my journey. First and foremost my Dad, Chip Reid , who is directly responsible for my genetic predilection for all things music. My early exposure to his jazz music set me up to appreciate it later in life. He's a musical genius who's footsteps I continue to walk in . I owe him the biggest thank you for helping me get to where I am today. Also a big Thank you to my wife, Tracy Reid, who has been very supportive since day one. Thank you for dealing with my crazy schedule all of these years.

In closing, I would like to thank all of my students past and present for the opportunity to enhance their lives, and my own. This isn't a one way street, I gain much from being the Traveling Music Teacher. Thank You All!!!!
