Attention Goshen County - Please Read!

What began as a fundraiser for Torrington Middle School Blazer Baseball has grown into something bigger.

This year, we're making our popular Blazer-style jerseys available not only for TMS, but for students, families, and supporters across Goshen County, including Lingle-Fort Laramie, Southeast, LaGrange, and Platte River Schools.
We are proud to have started a tradition that celebrates school pride, and now we're excited to help every school in our district showcase their own community spirit.

When one school succeeds, our entire county benefits. Let's fill the stands, hallways, and communities with pride for all Goshen County schools!

How 'Bout Them Blazers
First Week of School

What a start to the year at Torrington Middle School!

Our 6th graders came in bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. They have shown outstanding manners, helped keep our lunchroom clean, respected expectations in the hallways, and jumped headfirst into what we do at TMS. We are stoked to welcome this great group of students to TMS!

Our 7th graders have embraced the challenge of a new grade level, new hallway, and new opportunities. They are starting to step up as leaders by showing tremendous growth already. It has been exciting to watch them take ownership of their role in our school so far.

Our 8th graders continue to lead the way. They are taking every step with pride and setting a strong example for younger students. We have seen tremendous interest in our Student Lighthouse Team, and these students are demonstrating the high standards and leadership that will continue moving our school forward toward excellence.

A special thank you goes to our incredible staff.
Our veteran teachers continue to bring the same passion and compassion they brought on their first day in education, by making sure every student feels safe and valued. Our new teachers have hit the ground running with preparation, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for kids. They have been outstanding.

Our best is the standard.

Torrington Lady Trailblazers

Torrington posted a winning record in 2025, securing the two seed going into regionals. Torrington would sweep their first two matches to set up a date with power Douglas. Douglas would prevail giving Torrington the East two seen into state. Torrington would go 1-2 in Casper. With solid production coming back, Torrington is a sneaky title contender in the East.

It seems impossible to believe that the summer is already over and it’s time to go BACK TO SCHOOL tomorrow!

Our SRO Team is excited to be back, and their school assignments will be the same as last year.

Officer Jeff Ryall – Torrington High School
Officer Stephen Easton – Torrington Middle School
Officer Alex Irons – Southeast and LaGrange

PLEASE remember that there will be a LOT of kiddos walking and riding bikes or scooters of every possible configuration to school tomorrow.

A few important reminders for Bike and Scooter Use to keep EVERYONE SAFE on their way to school:

1) Children under 16 are required to properly wear a helmet if they are operating an ELECTRIC bike or scooter.
2) ALL bike and scooter operators MUST follow the rules of the road by stopping at stop signs and yielding to traffic.
3) Scooters and Bicycles are permitted on the Torrington Walking Path, so long as they operate SAFELY and YIELD to pedestrians.

For all of the drivers out there, PLEASE use extra caution around school zones and pedestrian crossings! If you must use a cell phone while driving, make sure you are using a HANDS-FREE function so you can stay aware of your surroundings and operate your vehicle safely.

Let the school year begin!!!!

📱TMS Reminder: Cell Phone & Personal Device Expectation

As we begin the school year, we'd like to remind students and families about the district's cell phone and personal electronic device policy.

Our goal is simple: maximize learning, minimize distractions, and help students stay engaged in the classroom.

At the Beginning of Each Class Period
- Students must power off their phones or place them in airplane mode and turn in: Cell phones, Smartwatches, Earbuds/AirPods, and Other personal electronic devices
-Devices will be stored in a designated, school-approved location within the classroom.

During Class
- Students are not permitted to access phones or personal electronic devices during instructional time.

At the End of Class
- Students may retrieve their devices and use them during passing periods.

Important Reminder If a student does not turn in a device at the beginning of class, it is considered a violation of district policy and will be addressed according to the GCSD #1 Discipline Matrix.

Medical Exceptions
- Students with approved accommodations through an IEP, 504 Plan, or documented medical need that requires a phone to remain on their person may be exempt. These accommodations will be reviewed and verified through the appropriate school processes.

We appreciate your support for classrooms that are distraction free!
