Seventh grade chapel included a special time of appreciation as students came forward to read Scripture and speak words of gratitude and encouragement to the teachers and staff. It was a meaningful moment honoring those who served throughout the year and closing the gathering with reflection and thanks.

One of the most meaningful moments of our 8th Grade East Coast Trip took place at Arlington National Cemetery, where four of our students earned the extraordinary honor of participating in the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Selected through an essay process, these students had the privilege of representing our school in a ceremony that pays tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Standing in this sacred place, they demonstrated respect, gratitude, and maturity as they helped honor those whose names are unknown, but whose courage will never be forgotten.
This unforgettable experience served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices that have secured our freedoms and the importance of remembering those who served.
We are incredibly proud of our students for representing First Lutheran with dignity and honor.

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έβœ¨ The adventure continues for our 8th graders on their East Coast Trip!

The students stepped into the heart of our nation's history and government as they explored some of Washington, D.C.'s most iconic landmarks. From the breathtaking halls of the Library of Congress to interactive exhibits that brought history to life, our students experienced firsthand the stories, people, and events that have shaped America.

The group also had the opportunity to visit historic sites and learn about the leaders, visionaries, and moments that continue to influence our country today. Every stop provides a deeper understanding of our nation's past while creating unforgettable memories with classmates and teachers.

What an incredible opportunity to learn beyond the classroom and experience history where it happened!

What an incredible Open House at First Lutheran School last night on Tuesday, May 19th!

Families, students, alumni, and friends came together for an evening filled with excitement, creativity, and community spirit. Guests enjoyed delicious food sales supporting next year’s East Coast Trip while reconnecting with teachers, classmates, and friends throughout campus.

The evening began with our main gathering in the church sanctuary before families explored classrooms showcasing the amazing work and accomplishments of our students from this school year. Students were also excited to visit their next year’s classrooms and get a glimpse into the adventures and learning ahead.

One of the highlights of the evening was the outstanding student art show displayed throughout the church foyer and sanctuary. The creativity, talent, and hard work of our students truly transformed the space into a beautiful celebration of art and learning.

It was especially meaningful to welcome alumni back to campus as they visited former teachers and reunited with old friends, reminding us all of the strong community and lasting memories that make First Lutheran so special.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make Open House such a fun, exciting, and exceptional evening celebrating our students and school community! πŸ’™πŸ’›
