El Camino College JAZZ Program News from the El Camino College Jazz Program Our program offers instruction in Jazz Improvisation, Jazz/Commercial Theory, and two Jazz Big Bands.

The El Camino College Jazz Program offers college-level instruction in Jazz through the Fine Arts Division of El Camino College located in Torrance, CA. The mission of ECC's Jazz Program is to both prepare students for transfer to a four-year university music program and to provide students with the necessary skills to work professionally in the field of Jazz and Commercial Music (Pop, R&B, Rock,

Hip Hop etc.), El Camino has a long history of transfer success, including transfer to top-level music schools including: Manhattan School of Music, Julliard, University of North Texas, Indiana University, University of Southern California, CalArts, Berklee College of Music, UCLA, California State University (Northridge, Long Beach, Fullerton, Los Angeles), and many others. The Concert Jazz Band still has several spots open for any interested trombonists. The band is shaping up to be great this year, and it will be a blast for anyone who might want to play in a hard-hitting big band. We rehearse Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm-9:10pm in the Band Room at Marsee Auditorium.
