Lotus Rescue and Rehab is a small independent rescue which functions more as a rehabilitative sanctuary at this point, as it has done since it was created, for animals in need who might otherwise be put to death when treatment is available and a willing foster or rescue is all that is missing to ready someone for adoption. Although we do not have a non-profit status with the IRS, no one profits from donations here except the animals. No suggestion whatsoever of tax exemption for your contributions of either money or supplies is intended. Funding comes primarily from the founder and family and friends. Your volunteer assistance and contributions are always appreciated. Fosters can expect to be reimbursed for any vetting that is authorized by the founder of Lotus Rescue as long as the foster complies in full with any foster contracts and agreements. Theft of animals or false reports and unauthorized vet care of Lotus animals by fosters and others associated in any way with us will be prosecuted.
