At NIHAO Chinese, children spend their afternoons learning Mandarin through hands-on projects, stories, play, and meaningful interaction with teachers and friends.

In small-group learning, children have space to listen, speak, create, ask questions, and participate at a comfortable rhythm. Our curriculum brings language and culture into experiences children can see, touch, and share — helping Mandarin become part of everyday connection.

Today, the teachers are the students.

Before an art lesson reaches our children, our teachers experience it first.

We make it. We test it. We ask questions.
And yes, there are a few “Ohhh, now I get it” moments.

It’s part of how we prepare for Project-Based Learning (PBL).

By stepping into the project ourselves, we notice what might spark curiosity, where children can make their own choices, and how Mandarin and culture can naturally become part of what they create.

So when your child sits down at the art table, the materials have been explored, the learning experience has been thoughtfully prepared, and their curiosity has room to lead.
