“Throwback Tuesday Night” Advanced Musical Theatre Class!

What a special night led by PSA + Broadway Alum Scott Barnhardt revisiting songs some of us sang 30 + years ago!

For 35 years, PSA has been so much more than a school—it has been a family.

A place where young artists have been encouraged to dream boldly, trained with excellence, and given the confidence to discover not only their craft, but their voice. Within these walls, generations of students have found a safe place to learn, create, grow, and become the artists they were always meant to be.

Under the guidance of an exceptional faculty—artists and educators whose talent, experience, and unwavering commitment have inspired generations, PSA celebrates 35 years and thriving because one remarkable woman had the courage to follow her dream.

Lisa Matsko Hamilton opened this studio 35 years ago and without her extraordinary vision, drive and generosity, PSA would not be “home” to so many. Lisa has the incredible capability of instilling that same courage in all her students and I know we would all agree we have been “changed for good” because of her.

Through the Professional Arts Education Center’s scholarship program and an enduring belief that every deserving artist should have the opportunity to thrive, the school has helped launch countless careers. Alumni have gone on to perform on Broadway and beyond, appear on stages and screens around the world, and earn the industry’s highest honors, including Tony Awards.

The true legacy of the Professorial School for the Arts isn’t measured only by accolades or achievements, but by the lives it has shaped, the confidence it has instilled, the lifelong friendships it has fostered, and the family it has created.

To every student, parent, faculty member, alumnus, and supporter who has been part of this incredible journey—thank you.

Here’s to 35 years of inspiring artists, changing lives, and proving that when talent is nurtured with excellence, heart, and family, the possibilities are limitless.
