The official page of the Sanbukan Dojo, Mits Yamash*ta Self Defense & Yoshinkan Aikido Yoshinkan Aikido came to the United States over 50 years ago.
This dojo and its head instructor, Mits Yamash*ta, are registered members of the International Yoshinkan Aikido Federation. The Sanbukan Dojo is also home of the Yamash*ta Aikido Organization. Sensei Yamash*ta tries to stay within the guidelines of this form of Aiki-Jujutsu in his teachings. Sensei Yamash*ta also makes available training in ground grappling so that his students have the ability to defend themselves standing or from the ground.

It's been 5 years since Shihan passed away and we still love him every single day. Happy Heavenly Birthday Mits.

Happy Christmas and an even happier New Year
Our last class of the year is tomorrow. We hope every single one of you enjoys the time off with your families. We will miss you.
There will be a welcome back pizza party after the first class of 2026, Saturday Jan 3rd at 2pm. EVERYONE is welcome to free food and drinks and lots of laughs.
