This week the elementary class started work with "Mr J" on a new wooden tuition box. Measuring and using a handsaw with the miter box is how we began.

After our annual walking field trip to the Torrance Farmer's Market on Tuesday to buy roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruit, and seeds for our Parts of the Plant Soup.

Montessori math means we can jump right into the fun stuff because the concrete materials mean it all makes sense! Big division problems, place value when building teens, 4-digit addition, when we can hold it and count it it's exciting and logical!
