Glider Camp is in full swing for week 2, and the progress is real. Last week, Daniel and Mason covered airspeed, altimeter use, and beginning emergency procedures—including rope break drills.
It’s more than a camp—it’s a launchpad. We’re helping aviation careers take flight.

We’re off to a soaring start at Glider Camp 2025!
Flight instructor Tom Huelle of Sky Sailing, our trusted partner of many years, shared this update after Day 1:
“We got a lot done today. Both [students] are making good progress…. We got a good few hours of ground in. Both had lots of good questions and seem enthusiastic.”
Students Daniel and Mason have been learning various aviation instruments, emergency procedures, and other aviation fundamentals. Stay tuned as their journey unfolds in the skies!

Meet Bradlee: he found his purpose through his high school’s aviation elective.
“Once I met Dan as part of a Giving Kids Wings high school aviation elective at my high school, DaVinci Science, I got really interested. When I saw Dan and my principal six years later in 2023, I was really excited to show them that I continued the path that they put me on. Like, 'I did it! I’m an instructor now.'"
Just recently, our Executive Director, Dan, caught up with Bradlee again, and he is beginning his career in professional aviation! We’re unbelievably proud of what Bradlee has done with the early training we provided.
This summer, we’re training another round of young aviation professionals. Keep following us here to hear more about the life-changing summer they have ahead of them.
