With gratitude for the many years of support from our patrons, dancers, artists, and community, we share the news that Ballet California will no longer be a performing company. This decision was made after careful consideration and with deep respect for the extraordinary dedication, artistry, and passion that shaped our work together. We are profoundly thankful to everyone who danced with us, believed in us, and helped bring ballet to life here in Torrance through Ballet California; the legacy of those performances and relationships will always remain.

It has been our great honor to be part of this community of such amazing people. You have been like family, and we will miss you terribly. We will forever treasure the memories we have created together.

Senior Company dancer Charlize spent her summer dancing in London at The Royal Ballet School.

After Ballet 4/5 Summer Intensive dancers showcased their end of the program show, each dancer received their certificate along with flowers. As a united show of appreciation and gratitude, the dancers gathered around Ms. Xochi and presented her with their flowers. Thank you Ms. Xochi for all your hard work and dedication.

Getting their first pair of pointe shoes is a milestone every young ballet dancer dreams of. Ms. Xochitl held a special pointe shoe instruction class for all the dancers promoted to pointe. The excitement of stepping into pointe class for the first time is matched by the special tradition of learning to sew on their own ribbons. A special day for these dancers, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their dance journey.

Summertime offers dancers an opportunity to attend summer intensives offered by professional ballet companies around the country and beyond. Summer intensives offer focused, immersive ballet training that enhances a dancer's growth both technically and artistically. With daily classes and exposure to a variety of instructors and styles, dancers build strength and refine their technique. It is also an opportunity to meet other aspiring artists and build friendships.
