Check out our undergraduate students part of Heritage UniversiHeritage Universityudies Program in the field this summer, starting the research project investigating an invasive species of insect believed to be impacting huckleberries. Thank you Yakama Nation Review for such an Jessica L. Black This work is funded by multiple federal grants to J. Black through the Center for Indigenous Health, Culture and the Environment - CIHCE at Heritage University. Students: Virginia Yelechchin, James Williams, Kyal Shoulderblade, and Ilene Goudy together with recent Northwesr Indian College graduate Corey Edgar. A fantastic partnership with Yakama Nation Wildlife program and NWIC Dr Victoria Walsey!

So rewarding to see some of our HU EAGLES S-STEM students presenting at the National Diversity in STEM (aka SACNAS) conference in Puerto Rico! They did an amazing job!! Huge thanks to the NSF for supporting our students through the EAGLES and CRESCENT programs and also to the McNair program.
