Heritage University Biology and Environmental Science Faculty Dr. Alex Alexiades and Dr. Corbin Schuster recently had an article published in the International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education along with Gonzaga Faculty, Dr. Melinda Howard, and HU Environmental Studies Alumni, Robyn Raya. The article detailed student perceptions about our unique, culturally-responsive STEM curriculum here at HU! 🥳🤩

Students in Dr. Alexiades Ecology Lab managed to identify more than 15 species of birds today! Who says you can't do field labs even in the middle of winter ;)! Big thanks to Kerry at Yakima Audubon.

So rewarding to see some of our HU EAGLES S-STEM students presenting at the National Diversity in STEM (aka SACNAS) conference in Puerto Rico! They did an amazing job!! Huge thanks to the NSF for supporting our students through the EAGLES and CRESCENT programs and also to the McNair program.
