With much heartache we would like to officially announce we will be closing our doors effective September 2026. We would like to once again thank everyone who has been apart of Barber Pros Academy’s journey. We truly appreciate each and everyone of you. We are proud to announce we end with a 99% graduation rate. 100% practical exam passing rate. 100% of our graduates obtained their State Barber License.

Stay tuned for the reopening of Lefty’s Barber Shop in this location. Coming soon.

After a great deal of thought, I have made the difficult decision to close Barber Pros Academy Toppen*sh after this session of students graduate.

This was not an easy decision. To be transparent with everyone, one of the biggest challenges we faced was the lack of enrollment. I believe that a major factor was that financial aid is relied heavily in our communities and is not available to students attending non-accredited private schools, making it difficult for many local aspiring barbers to afford their education. Combined with today’s economic challenges, it has became increasingly difficult to continue operating as a Barber Academy.

While this chapter is coming to an end, I want to express my deepest gratitude to every student who trusted me to be part of their journey. Teaching future barbers has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. Watching each of you develop your skills, build your confidence, and work toward your dreams has been an incredible privilege.

To every student who walked through our doors—thank you. Each of you brought something unique to the classroom and made this experience meaningful. I am proud of what you’ve accomplished and look forward to seeing your continued success in the barbering industry.

Thank you to everyone who supported Barber Pros Academy over the years—our students, families, community members, clients and fellow professionals. Your encouragement meant more than you know.

Although the academy is closing, this is not goodbye. I will always be passionate about the barbering profession, and I remain committed to staying involved in this community through mentorship, education, and industry support.

I am also excited to share that we will be reopening Lefty’s Barber Shop & Piercing Studio in this current location once the Academy is officially closed.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for allowing Barber Pros Academy to be a part of this community.
We estimate we will still be open as Barber Pros Academy until the end of August 2026 and will be available for public services until then. Stay Tuned for updated information.
