Today these sweet girls transformed a pile of cardboard into an entire bunny village—complete with a bunny den, playground, grocery store, cafeteria, flower garden, and their own adorable cardboard bunnies with handmade outfits!
One of the best parts of a small microschool is having the freedom to follow our students' interests. What started as an art project became creativity, teamwork, storytelling, problem-solving, and beautiful friendships.
Learning should be joyful.
If you've been second-guessing sending your child back to public school next week, remember—you still have options. It's not too late to choose a different path.
We're currently enrolling at Gatherpoint Learning. Message us to learn more or schedule a tour! 💙
Gatherpoint Learning
Two microschools, one supportive network.
Journey & Arise are unified by Gatherpoint Learning - a nonprofit dedicated to launching, coaching & supporting microschool owners grow and serve families well.
Watching these kids this week has reminded me why we started Gatherpoint Learning.
They weren't sitting quietly filling out worksheets. They were building spacecrafts, solving problems together, presenting their ideas, laughing, asking thoughtful questions, and genuinely excited to learn.
Not every child thrives in a traditional classroom, and that's okay.
If you've been wondering whether there's a different educational option for your family this fall, we'd love to have a conversation. Whether you're considering a microschool or you're homeschooling and looking for enriching, hands-on learning opportunities, we're building a community where kids are known, challenged, and encouraged to love learning.
We're currently enrolling for our full-day microschool, and registration for our new homeschool project-based learning classes opens soon.
If you're curious, send me a message. I'd be happy to answer your questions—no pressure.
Comment INFO below and we'll schedule a time to chat about options for your kiddo this school year!

Hi! We’re Jess & Cassie 👋
Before we’re “teachers” or “education guides”… we’re moms who believe kids deserve to feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
Between the two of us, we’ve spent 20+ years working with students in homeschooling, co-ops, microschools, public education, and community programs.
What we’ve learned is this:
Most struggling kids are not “lazy.”
They’re overwhelmed.
Overlooked.
Or trying to fit into environments that simply don’t work for them.
That’s why we’re building something different.
A small, relationship-centered microschool community where kids can:
✨ Learn at their own pace
✨ Move, create, explore, and ask questions
✨ Build real confidence and friendships
✨ Feel known instead of lost in the crowd
We believe learning should feel meaningful — not stressful.
If you’ve been searching for something different for your child's education, we’d love to talk with you 💛
Message us anytime to learn more about:
• Full or half day microschool
• Friday Homeschool Enrichment classes (music, Reading Boost, Yoga + more!)
• Once per week Hands-on Learning Labs for Science or US Social Studies
Journey Microschool (Jess) & Arise Microschool (Cassie) are combining in Aug 2026 to offer one expanded microschool for students in grades 3-8.

Your feedback will help us build programs that local families are genuinely excited about.
The survey link is in the comments. Thank you for helping shape the future of Gatherpoint Learning—we can't wait to learn alongside you this fall!
This. This is why Gatherpoint Learning Microschool exists.
Struggling readers are finding joy in the skills they're building on the road to becoming confident readers in our Reading Boost Summer program.
Truly blesses my heart.
When people ask what our learning days look like...
This is it.
Our students spent the morning designing space suits and building rockets. They laughed, experimented, changed their plans, solved problems, and proudly shared what they created.
To them, it felt like play.
To us, it's authentic learning.
At Gatherpoint Learning, we believe children learn best when they're curious, engaged, and actively creating—not simply memorizing information.
We're now enrolling for our 3rd-8th grade microschool. If your child would thrive in a hands-on, relationship-centered learning environment, we'd love to connect with you.
Send us a message to learn more.

Watching these kids grow over the last two weeks has been such a joy.
They didn't just read about nature. They became meteorologists, rainforest experts, ocean scientists, and African safari explorers. They asked incredible questions, worked together, solved problems, and created projects they were proud of.
That's the kind of learning we believe in at Gatherpoint Learning—hands-on, curiosity-driven experiences that make children excited to learn.
Tomorrow we begin our final summer Learning Lab: Space Exploration.
Over the next two weeks, students will explore the solar system, build space suits, complete engineering challenges, become astronauts, and discover just how amazing our universe is.
We still have a few openings available, and families can enroll through Sunday, July 19.
If you know a child who would love to spend the last weeks of summer exploring space, send me a message or comment SPACE below and I'll send you an enrollment form!
We'd love to have them join us!
