My last day with this crazy class- my AVID 10 class is "graduating" to AVID 11 and a new teacher next year. Xzenora created this masterpiece of a cake for us to celebrate this ending and new beginnings.

Dominoes, Sorry, and Uno- oh my! Those are just some of the fun activities my AVID 10/Independent Study class participated in with Eagle Estates folks on Sunday afternoon. It was a special treat for me to see one of my mentors, Marie Bryant, from my first years as a teacher at Washington Elementary. Then my 2nd grade teacher, Lesley Simpson, came and joined the fun. Stephanie Pruitt, a special gal that I know from church, heard me say about four words and knew my name right away (she's blind, by the way). And good ol' Jon Risner came in, and what a treat it was to visit with him. I think a good time was had by all. :)
