The shirts are here! Thank you, CJ's Threads, for making my little pencil sketch into this fun shirt! And thank you, Hugo's Industrial Supply, for sponsoring the cost of the shirts! Every penny from registration and shirt sales goes to the Brooklyn Botts Memorial Scholarship thanks to Hugo's. 🧡
The One-racket Doubles Tournament is this Sunday, August 6th at 6:00. Come get your shirt, play some wacky tennis, and cool off with a popsicle. See you at the courts! 🙂🧡🎾

My last day with this crazy class- my AVID 10 class is "graduating" to AVID 11 and a new teacher next year. Xzenora created this masterpiece of a cake for us to celebrate this ending and new beginnings.

Dominoes, Sorry, and Uno- oh my! Those are just some of the fun activities my AVID 10/Independent Study class participated in with Eagle Estates folks on Sunday afternoon. It was a special treat for me to see one of my mentors, Marie Bryant, from my first years as a teacher at Washington Elementary. Then my 2nd grade teacher, Lesley Simpson, came and joined the fun. Stephanie Pruitt, a special gal that I know from church, heard me say about four words and knew my name right away (she's blind, by the way). And good ol' Jon Risner came in, and what a treat it was to visit with him. I think a good time was had by all. :)
