🍎📚 Future Educators in Action! 📚🍎

Our Future Educators have been working hard over the past several weeks, leading students through the Kansas Science Park and gaining valuable hands-on experience along the way!

Today, they took a well-deserved break from their busy schedules to attend the Future Educators Summit at Emporia State University! 🎓

They had a GREAT time learning, connecting with other future educators, exploring ESU, and building their skills for their future careers in education.

What a busy and exciting two days for our Business Pathway and Media Design & Communications students! 🚀

Last Thursday and Friday, students had the opportunity to learn from industry professionals and explore exciting college and career opportunities.

Entrepreneur, author, investor, and Realty Professionals broker Kevin Swift shared valuable insights on business ownership, entrepreneurship, and the importance of adaptability.

Students also visited Wichita State University, where they toured campus, explored the Barton School of Business and Innovation Campus, and learned about its major industry partners. They participated in a personal branding lesson taught by a WSU professor and even experienced what it’s like to attend an actual college class!

A student panel, featuring former TCALC/TWEST student Mariah Smith (2024), rounded out the experience as students learned about industry projects and explored their own future possibilities.

A huge thank you to everyone who made these experiences possible! We love giving our students opportunities to DREAM, DISCOVER, and DO! 💛🖤

☕️ **The TCALC & Co. Coffee Shop is back in action!** ☕️

These two rockstar second-year students have been hard at work creating an amazing menu and working through the challenges that come with running a business during a soft opening last week.

Led by Chef Livingston and supported by business partner mentor Lana Nobo-Garcia, these students are getting an authentic opportunity to learn what it takes to run a business—from creating a menu to serving customers and everything in between.

They’re ready to officially open tomorrow morning at 8:15 a.m. and serve up some amazing coffee and smoothies! We’re excited to see what they do with TCALC & Co. this year! 🙌☕️🥤
