Manchester is permanently closed. Manchester School is a unique private preschool for young children ages 12 weeks-6 years. Our curriculum is student-driven.
Our curriculum uses a natural and Reggio-inspired approach to learning. This simply means that our projects will be based on the children's interests throughout the year. A project may change in two days, or last a month. Topeka friends: if you can’t make them all, make sure you don’t miss our friends S.J. Hazim on Monday evening and Singing Sarah, Sunflower Music on Wednesday evening! Both performers have played at Manchester in the past and were so engaging and fun!

Well…the time has come for us to say goodbye. This chapter of our story is now complete, but the 9 years and 3 months of Manchester memories will be with us forever. ❤️
Thank you for your support. Thank you for being there. Thank you for volunteering. Thank you for sending your children to Manchester. Thank you for sending kind and supportive words. Thank you for teaching at Manchester. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for bringing us all the random items you found because you knew we would find a way to joyfully use them-with so much excitement!

Surely someone can use this handmade, solid wood, large children’s table? I actually helped make it!!
This is such a special table that was used by Manchester kids in the piazza for hundreds of family-style meals and birthday gatherings. This table holds many memories over the years. (8 feet long and 4 feet wide)
Please don’t let it end up at a donation store. 😫 Make an offer!
I just got an email from the CBS producer that said:
"There’s a version of the story airing tomorrow (Friday) morning as well… about 7 a.m."
It stirs up mixed emotions to see our little school in Topeka, KS, featured on the Norah O’Donnell show. National evening news! How wild is that?!?

This is hard to watch. My heart hurts. I know this decision is the best decision, but it is still very emotional.
I am hopeful that this short segment will help
draw some much needed (long over-due) attention to the current early childhood crisis that we are all facing. I also hope that it not only attracts attention, but more importantly, action.

It was a special day! Our sweet friends big Voth and little Voth came to visit us. Both mother and daughter taught at Manchester and have been special to us ever since. What a treat! ❤️

Our sweet Guinea pig named “Buffalo” is being re-homed to a new school. The class had a zoom
meeting with friends at Bright Circle Preschool this morning to introduce Buffalo and tell them how to take care of him.
Buffalo will be in good hands with Ms. Janie Ramsdell and her class! Thank you for agreeing to take him and love him for us!
