The Faith Desk

One of the things I love about the culture at Heritage Christian is what I call the “Faith Desk.”
The concept is simple.

Yes, we have students enrolled in classrooms. Yes, there are desks sitting in those classrooms with names on them. Yes, we have full classrooms and full hallways.

But we are always praying for one more. One more student who needs a Christian education. One more family who needs a community.

One more child who needs to hear the Gospel. One more life that God may be calling us to impact.

So when we look around our classrooms, we don’t simply see empty desks. We see opportunities!

That extra desk is a reminder that our work isn’t just about enrollment numbers. It’s about people. It’s about ministry. It’s about faithfully preparing a place for the student God may send our way.

At Heritage Christian, we’re going to keep praying for one more because behind every desk is a name. Behind every name is a story that matters to God.

Day 2 is in the books! 💙❤️

Friday was filled with opportunities to build relationships and strengthen our HCS family. Our School Buddies spent time together, beginning friendships across grade levels that we hope will grow throughout the year, while our secondary students headed out for their retreat—a time to connect, laugh, worship, and begin the year focused on Christ and one another.

We are thankful for these moments that happen beyond textbooks and assignments, because school is about so much more than what happens at a desk. It is about growing in faith, building relationships, serving one another, and learning to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God.

📚 FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

What a wonderful way to begin our 30th year of serving Christ at Heritage Christian School! Today our classrooms and hallways were once again filled with smiling faces, new beginnings, laughter, learning, and all the excitement that comes with the first day of school.

As we begin this new year, our prayer is that our students will grow not only in knowledge, but also in their love for Christ and for others. We are looking forward to a year of learning, friendships, challenges, victories, and countless opportunities to “do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.” — Micah 6:8 KJV

We are so thankful for every student and family God has brought to Heritage. Here’s to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year!
