Today, Washburn University announced its strategic partnership and a transformational $7.5 million investment from Stormont Vail Health in support of the university’s bold new vision for integrated healthcare education. In recognition of Stormont’s investment, the new health sciences facility will be named the Stormont Vail Health Clinical Institute of Excellence.

“Turning an ambitious vision into reality is only made possible with the extraordinary partnership of alumni, donors and friends who believe in Washburn’s plans for the future,” said Marshall Meek, president, Washburn University Alumni Association and Foundation. “Stormont Vail Health recognizes this is more than an investment in a building. It is an investment in students, the future healthcare workforce and the lives their care will transform for generations to come. We are deeply grateful for Stormont’s leadership and confidence in Washburn’s vision.”

Applications are now open for The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Washburn University Harmony Hines School of Nursing's scholarship program. Four $5,000 scholarships will be awarded for the Spring 2027 semester to help aspiring nurses pursue their education and prepare for careers dedicated to caring for others.

Camp Nursing 2026 at Rock Springs Ranch 🏕️🩺🌻😎🍀

Another successful summer of our camp nursing elective, where students get to spend a week at Rock Springs Ranch providing care to campers age 8-17 as the camp nurses under the supervision of a faculty member! This elective course allows students to strengthen their clinical skills, gain hands-on experience in a unique setting, and make awesome memories while having plenty of fun. 👏

Classes start in just 1️⃣ month! We can't wait to have our students back on campus and working towards reaching their goals 😎✨💙🎩 Go Bods!
