Dear Dancer,

If you have forgotten who you are, this is your reminder.

Before you are a dancer, you are a child of God. Your identity was never meant to be found in applause, opportunities, titles, social media, competitions, or the opinions of people. Those things can change in a moment, but God’s truth about you never changes.

Dance is a gift that God has entrusted to you. It is an expression of worship, creativity, and purpose, not the source of your worth. Your value was established the moment God created you in His image, long before anyone ever saw you perform.

There will be moments when people overlook you, criticize you, compare you, or fail to recognize what God has placed inside of you. Do not allow the opinions of man to redefine what God has already spoken. People may judge your technique, your style, or your season, but they cannot determine your calling. Only God does.

Remember that your gift was never given to earn acceptance, it was given to glorify the One who gave it. Every rehearsal, every performance, every quiet practice, and every unseen moment can become an act of worship when your heart is fixed on Him.

If doors seem closed, trust that God’s timing is never late. If you feel discouraged, remember that hidden seasons often produce the deepest growth. If you feel inadequate, know that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness. The same God who called you is faithful to sustain you.

So dance with freedom.
Dance with humility.
Dance with excellence.
Dance with joy.

Dance knowing that Heaven sees every step, even when the world does not.

You are chosen.
You are loved.
You are called.
You are equipped.
You are God’s.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, your heart surrendered, and your purpose rooted in Him. When you dance for an audience of One, you will never lose sight of who you are.
