The Natural History Museum Traveling Treasures: Woven Through Time will be in Tooele hosting a Community Science and Culture Night for all ages to enjoy!

This is a FREE public event!

Explore the natural world around you through learning stations (hosted by NHMU and community partners, including the Tooele Valley Museum and Historical Park!!) with hands-on activities, museum specimens, and by talking with NHMU experts who want to answer all your questions! As a bonus, you may even win a door prize for participating!

Visit the Tooele Valley Museum and Historical Park booth to receive a free train craft to take home!

🇺🇸 Come celebrate Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, from 1–3pm at the Tooele Valley Museum.

Explore military vehicles and Tooele Army Depot displays, visit the museum, and take a moment to remember and thank those who have served our country.

We had an amazing 2026 season!

Our visitors explored many new displays, took pictures by a cool mural, participated in creative activities, and made many new memories! We saw hundreds of happy visitors!

Thanks to all who visited our historic museum!

CALLING ALL ARTISANS, CRAFTERS AND TRAIN ENTHUSIASTS!!

The museum is currently restoring the historic Tooele Valley Railroad cabooses and we'd love to find a few volunteers to help!

No experience or tools necessary but both are appreciated!
You must be 18 or older or be accompanied by an adult.
The project will take place for the next three months, weather permitting or until finished.
Time slots are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Other time slots available upon request.

We are open Wednesday-Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Tooele Valley Museum has a vast collection of blueprints, many are of the interior of the mine, layout of the railroad, and design of the smelter buildings. These were made with a cyanotype blueprint maker. International Smelting and Refining Company employees from the Engineering and Drafting Office used the blueprint maker to make thousands of blueprints over the course of 50 years. This blueprint maker was phased out in the 1940s in favor of whiteprints and then later, computer aided design.

Visit the museum now through 26 September to learn more about
this and other artifacts used by smelter and railroad employees.
Open Wednesday through Saturday 10am until 4pm.
