Another year of top notch, FCCLA competitors is in the books. The following are the high school chapter members who presented at the state level. They are sophomore, Evey, competed and placed second in the Promote and Publicize event. Juniors, Sara and Jane - presented in the Repurpose and Redesign event; Sophomore, Elyza, presented in the Teach or Train event. From the junior high are seventh graders - Addy, Aliyah and Elayna who presented in the Focus on Children event, Level 1; These young ladies developed even further their character, confidence, charisma, career skills, work ethic and a deeper sense of self and others but most of all they built upon their innate integrity. What a great group of students with which to work and travel! I am SO proud of them. Holly

"Dare to Dream" was this years FCCLA slogan. These young teenagers dream's are only beginning and I can only hope that their FCCLA projects helped plant a seed for their future endeavors.

Between three student teams, we are bringing home two Silvers and one Bronze. Congratulations to Sara in the Job Interview event earning a Silver. The Teach or Train competitor, Whitney, earned a Bronze. Last, but surely not least, is the Event Management team of Jordan and Lyndy who earned Silver. So proud of you all! Congratulations, ladies! The 2025, FCCLA State Leadership Conference is in the books. First of all, I'm so proud of each of the students - Sara, Jillian, Elyza, Faith, Brooklyn, Jordan, Lyndy and Whitney - for stepping into unknown territory to gain more confidence, network with other students, and add to the growing list of career skills that are being developed in each student.The PentaCC/Otsego HS Chapter has a 1st place, National Qualifier, Sara. Another highlight to the high school chapter is Elyza was elected as a regional executive council officer for next school year. The Penta CC/OtsegoJH Chapter received 2nd place in the state for being part of the 9,000+ Service Learning hours throughout the state. We also have two, 2nd place events who are all National qualifiers, Whitney, Brooklyn, Jordan and Lyndy. Congratulations, to all of the 8 ladies for their efforts and hard work! You make Penta/Otsego school systems and especially, this advisor so proud.

Another great group of students this year. Today began year 10 for me in watching student leaders develop because of this wonderful, career technical student organization. The Otsego/PentaCC Chapters earned 1 gold and 3 silver. Building future leaders with amazing characters one year at a time.
