We love teaching and learning about measurements. Students start learning measure conversions early in our elementary curriculum. Learning different measurements is not only a practical skill but also lends itself to flexibility in thinking about numbers and precision in communication!
Next time you are altering a recipe, bring your kiddo in the kitchen and see what they can do! It is a fun (and tasty) activity to do over the summer that keeps these concepts fresh.
