Math & Makers Camp was a BLAST!

What a fun week of creating, experimenting, problem-solving, and brushing up on our math skills! Each morning, our campers jumped into a new hands-on STREAM challenge before putting their math brains to work.

🧲 Monday: We mixed up some seriously cool magnetic slime and explored the science of magnetism!

💡 Tuesday: We became engineers and created circuit robots, learning how to build a working circuit to light them up!

🧪 Wednesday: We explored density and chemical reactions while making our own colorful lava lamps!

🥤 Thursday: We wrapped up the week with a tasty experiment by making fruit juice slushies and discovering how science can help turn a liquid into a frozen treat!

We loved watching everyone experiment, ask questions, work together, and have so much fun learning along the way. Thank you to all of our Math & Makers campers for spending the week with us!

We truly have the BEST school community! 💙 Even during the summer months, our SCS faculty continue to show up, support our students, and remind us what makes our community so special. Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Leto were also there cheering our students on during their performances last week—we just didn’t get a chance to snap their picture.
