The BCS program seeks to cultivate a community of learners who recognize and regard beauty, participate and delight in the creative process, and develop the patience to work daily for gradual results; these qualities grow in the context of a strong parent-teacher partnership, the goal of which is to support parents' efforts to raise joyful, confident children. In addition to its core Suzuki Method

program, BCS welcomes school orchestra students, advanced students preparing for auditions, and adults.

Esperanza Spalding once shared a simple idea about practice that really sticks. Instead of pushing harder, she focuses on making things feel easier.
Slow it down. Stay relaxed. Let the instrument sit naturally in your hands. Don’t let tension take over the music.

It’s a good reminder that progress doesn’t come from force, but from clarity and control. When you’re at ease, your sound opens up, your timing settles, and things start to fall into place naturally
