This outdoor conference was designed to build community, create new connections, and grow together in recovery. The event highlighted musicians in recovery who shared their stories and talents. A food truck and various additional community speakers shared their experiences.

Wonderful article in the Ocean County College Ocean Views summer/fall issue about Hailey Sadowski, our intern and former OCC Habitat chapter president. The journey continues at Stockton University. Best of luck this academic year! See you at the walk this Saturday!

The Kean University American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center provides continuing training for lifeguards at Midway Beach.

Many individuals suffer cardiac emergencies at the beach or in pools. It is essential that lifeguards learn basic life support CPR. Every second counts when a person becomes unresponsive; knowing CPR can be the difference between life and death. While CPR does not guarantee the individual will survive a cardiac arrest, learning and understanding high-quality CPR significantly increases their chance of survival. Lifeguards also provide assurance to those enjoying the beach and the ocean, and help create a relaxing environment. Beachgoers know that there are individuals trained to help them and/or their families if needed at their worst moments.

Interested in learning more about Kean's AHA course offerings, or becoming CPR/BLS certified? Please contact Kathleen Curran from Kean's EMS Training Center, via email ([email protected]) or by phone: 908-737-3820.

I will be brief. I am a former abuse victim of lacey township and ocean counties "Rise up" movement. I am looking for college students or high school students who know their county is covering up its racism and wants to do something about it. I am looking for a student or students who want to film how your authorities respond to people standing up to them and protesting them. They want to accuse me of violence so that they can justify their various attempts to silence me and my civil rights. Lets show them they like another kind of shooting even less because they dont know how to handle things when the person standing up to them is peaceful. I fully expect them to harass me and arrest me for protests. Above all else that is what I will need to be filmed. I have thoughts on how this should be. but this is your project. I am here offering the opportunity to make a documentary about me and my story (and the others that have gone through what I went through) as you see fit in exchange for a copy of whatever footage you film. You have complete creative control. The first thing I will do is sign a release for my name and likeness away to you. If you decide I am a mentally ill wack job then make that the story. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to change lacey or ocean county in a way that helps them also escape it at the same time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7KZrZ7v6wk

I have other videos of me trying to reach gary quinn, with your counties sheriff, with the lacey township police ignoring and mocking me for contacting them in regards to a person threatening to drive across america and break into my los angeles apartment to p*e on me. I have video of lacey townships school lawyer staging an investigation. I have videos of the ocean county sheriff staging an investigation.

I could probably put this together myself, but its better if it comes from a student or former graduate of ocean county who is looking for a launching project and can refute the claims by their community that isnt racist or isnt covering up an environment that is intolerable for "other" groups.

I dont have any money to offer you. But I could be a connection one day.

My eventual goal is a rick and morty meets arrested development cartoon called currently titled "f*** you ocean county". technically the ocean county part is only season one. But if that were to ever go anywhere I could always use other ocean county writers.

I'm worth the chance. If you are a parent reading this I can tell you that four years of media school/film school is less useful than a film you make during summer break.

Even they want to accuse me of being capable of biting. I never have and never will.

I know this isnt your typical post. I am asking that the moderator of this account keep this post up because as much as I am self interested, I am truly interested in offering work/future opportunities to people in your community who want to make it a better place.

Feel free to message me if you are interested before july 16th.
