AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT!

Asbury Park Theater Company's first mainstage production under newly appointed Producing Artistic Director Nate Patten will be The Wolves, Sarah DeLappe's Pulitzer Prize finalist play that has captivated audiences across the country with its sharp wit, emotional honesty, and unforgettable portrait of young women finding their voices.

Running September 25 through October 4, 2026 and directed by Patten, The Wolves follows a high school girls' indoor soccer team as they warm up before their weekly games. Over the course of seemingly ordinary pre-game conversations, the team grapples with friendship, ambition, identity, loss, and the pressures of growing up.

OPEN AUDITIONS will be held on Monday, August 17 and Tuesday, August 18, from 6:00pm - 10:00pm, with invited callbacks on Wednesday, August 19, from 6:00pm - 10:00pm. We're conducting a wide-reaching search for performers throughout New Jersey and the greater New York area and encourages actors of all backgrounds and experience levels to audition.

10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU Musical Holding Open Call Auditions The musical adaptation of 10 Things I Hate About You, which features music by Carly Rae Jepsen and a book by Lena Dunham, is hosting an open call for three of the main roles: Kat, Bianca, and Patrick.

What an incredible two weeks of camp! Our 2000-2009 theme was a great success! We had lots of spirit days and shared many laughs. We were so proud of all our campers on their showcase performances of Incredibles, Wicked, Harry Potter, Wall-E, Mean Girls, Mamma Mia, and Hairspray. Thanks to our interns and volunteers for their amazing direction! We hope everyone has a great rest of the summer ☀️

Surflight has several paid internships available to end out our season available as some of our interns return to their university programs. Open to anyone in college or just recently graduated this is a great way to get early career experience in the theatrical industry.
Arts Management- Assist in PR, House Management, Company Management etc.
Scenic Shop - Assist in builds and paint in scene shop
Stage Management - Assist in our Stage management department in rehearsals and running shows.
Costumes - Assist in the costume shop with builds and backstage wardrobe.

Internships are busy with lots of hand on experience. They do require evening and weekends.
