Something is shifting.

Terraform Together has always been about working with the earth — building, shaping, learning through hands-on experience.

That hasn’t changed.

But the way I’m doing that work is evolving.

Over the past year, I’ve been spending more time with clay. Slowing down. Making objects instead of structures. Still working with dirt… just in a different form.

I just released the first video in a new 7-part series on YouTube sharing that transition and the story behind Dirt Creature.

Terraform Together is changing over to Dirt Creature Pottery

Over the past few years, life out here has changed more than I expected.

The homestead is mostly built now. The systems work. Things are quieter. After pushing hard running work trade programs and teaching natural building for 4 years, I burned out hard in 2023 and had to step back and ask what I actually wanted to spend my energy on.

That question slowly led me to pottery.

Dirt Creature Pottery grew out of the same place this homestead did — working with earth, slowing down, paying attention, and building a life around what feels sustainable long term. The scale is smaller now, but the work feels deeper. And honestly, more fun.

This video is an introduction to Dirt Creature and the direction the homestead is moving in.

I’ll still be sharing off-grid life and hands-on projects occassionally on the Terraform page... That hasn’t gone anywhere. But to follow along with my most current projects... Dirt Creature Pottery is where to go.

I’ve been asked a lot: “Can off-grid solar actually run serious tools?”

So I pushed my system right to the edge.

In this video I run a plasma cutter and a pottery kiln off my off-grid solar setup to see what happens when art meets real power demand.

is up and running! This morning I pulled out my first 100% solar powered stoneware glaze kiln. This process is literally taking millions of year old stone and using the power of the sun to turn it new stone with a function and story to tell.

Im so happy with the results and to have more independence and freedom to experiment with more earthy goodness.

Oh and & I've got tea cups now that were approved by my professor who studied in Japan 😉

Second set of panels up! Bringing input up from 3kw to over 10kw!

This one went together much nicer. One thing I've learned being a builder the last decade, the first one always comes out a bit fu**ed up. The second one always looks more normal.

This concerns me being an oldest child.
